Mary Spicer - I have been in the fashion industry since a brief stint as a model at the age of 13. After a Bonnie Bell advertisement and two local commercials, I realized I'd never get to runway at the height of 5'5". I then tried pageants but that didn't really work for me. However, their back of house was a complete mess. I offered my assistance for under the table pay at the age of 14 and soon was running the back of the house for Southern Connecticut Beauty Pageants in the mid 80's. Born and raised in Groton, Connecticut, I produced my first fashion show with ski wear for our family ski shop and never looked back.
After a two year period of skiing by day and producing private events for Vail's fabulous guests by night in 1989 and 1990, I went back to my fashion and event planning roots. With the luxury to go out on my own I started to produce exclusive events and weddings for A-listers and celebrities alike. My high energy balanced with a calm demeanor along with my respect for my clients’ privacy are the qualities that my clients gravitate toward.
In time, my husband brought his expertise in the tech world to my business and together we have made progress with backstage processes and clear communications. Whether we are working with an international designer or a non-profit, our clients love how easy the process becomes.
I have had the opportunity to work with top luxury fashion production companies such as IMG at both New York and Miami Mercedes Benz Fashion Weeks, IMG, IMG Focus Group, LDJ, Judith Rice & Associates, Shannon Davidson Productions, Navia Vision, Lynne O'Neill, and JBS Consulting A La Mode. My events are theatrical works created with the story the clients need to tell.
I also have a penchant for travel and rabbits.
